Fowlers Hotel, in the old part of Cala d'Or, was built in the year 1950. This small, boutique, family run hotel, retains an old world charm, aided by the classic decoration which can be seen in the photographs of the gallery.
Here there is no minimalism. Every corner is filled with fascinating objects, busts, oil paintings and porcelain etc. against a background of flowers and
Fowlers is set in a hidden hamlet of cottages and terraced houses, and stands in a dominating position high above the marina, with spectacular views from the terraces.
The beach is reached by a short walk through a strangely deserted square, with a fig tree in the centre and a beautiful whitewashed church, which has been the subject of many local and visiting artists. This is how Cala d'Or used to be and we are doing everything possible to ensure that it remains as such. Stroll down the lane at the back of the hotel and you will find the boat houses, probably the oldest buildings in Cala d'Or.
The town centre and the marina, also a short walk away, have many fine restaurants and shops.
Fowlers is traditional and comfortable. Our lively bar boasts a grand piano and local and visiting pianists frequently entertain our customers. We would like to think that Fowlers is a time warp. Come and tell us if you agree.
