About Fowlers Hotel

Fowlers Hotel and Bar, previously known as Hostal Cala Llonga, is situated in the old part of Cala d’Or know as Cala Llonga,  and it has been owned by the Fowler family since 1989, and was constructed in the year 1950.

We are a small boutique family run establishment, with an old world charm which is aided by the classic decoration that can be seen throughout the photographs on our website.

Within the public spaces of Fowlers there is no minimalism; each and every corner is filled with fascinating objects, busts, oil paintings and porcelain, against a background of flowers and plants, and it still retains the original flooring. Upstairs, our rooms are decorated simply with the intention of making them feel light and airy.

Fowlers Hotel and Bar is traditional and comfortable, and our lively bar boasts a baby grand piano, available to local and passing pianists to entertain our customers. We would like to think that Fowlers Hotel is a bit of a time warp.

Fowlers, is located in a residential area, within a hamlet of cottages, terraced houses, and villas and is located very close to the Cala d’Or Marina. Fowlers Hotel and Bar stands in a dominating position above the marina, therefore providing us with spectacular views from our terrace and balconies, of the marina and beyond. If you take a short walk down to the marina you will find many fine restaurants, and some of the earliest buildings constructed, the endearing boat houses.

The beach, Cala Petita, is reached by a short walk through a small square with a fig tree in the centre, and a beautiful whitewashed church. The church has been the subject of many local and visiting artists. You can also take a stroll down the lane at the back of the hotel, where you will find the endearing and colourful boat houses, which are some of the oldest buildings in Cala d’Or.

The town centre of Cala d’Or is also just a short walk away, here you will find many restaurants and bars, and there are many shops for you to browse around.
